Only one Google Calendar can be synced here, so the QAS school calendar and PACE calendar are linked below.

ABOUT MISS GRECO

Welcome to the fifth grade page! My name is Miss Greco. I am a Colorado native and lifelong Catholic school attendee. I received my Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing and Visual Arts from Regis University in 2013. In May 2017, I completed the Multiple Subject Teaching Credential program at Saint Mary's College. In my free time, I do mixed media art, study history, advocate for the environment, and spend time with loved ones. This is now my third year teaching at QAS, and I am thrilled to work with your children this school year!

Grading Rubrics

GRADING RUBRICS

Fifth grade students receive number grades on a scale of 1 to 4 in all academic areas, 4 being the highest (please note that students will only receive a 4 if they are working on above-grade level work in resource; the highest grade I assign is a 3.5). All grades are given according to specific criteria, which are organized by grade level standards and the 1 to 4 number grading system into rubrics. These rubrics are available for each subject by clicking on the buttons at right.

You will notice when you look at your child's graded assignments that (a) code(s) will be provided next to the grade(s), such as OA.5.2 or RI.5.10. Each of these codes represents a grade level standard. To see what criteria was used to provide (a) grade(s), please click on the subject of the assignment at right. You will be taken to a page that displays the rubric for all grade level standards for that subject. Then, use the code(s) written on your child's assignment to find the standard graded and to read the criteria used to assign the grade(s).

Special rubrics for specific assignments will be printed and attached to graded work. General rubrics with grade level standards will always be available here. I do not distribute printed copies unless requested for purposes of saving paper. If you wish to have a printed copy for reference, I am happy to provide one for you. Please send me an email.

Life Skills grades differ from academic grades in that number grades are not used. Instead, students will receive an "M" for meeting standards, an "A" for approaching the standards, and an "N" to indicate that (s)he needs support. A detailed rubric for Life Skills grades is provided via the link at right.

SCHOOL SPIRIT SONG

S - A - I - N - T - S,

We love our school the best.

We will wear your colors fair,

We will wear them everywhere.

When other teams have given up,

We will give you the golden cup.

Live on gold, white, and blue!
